I would get a memory stick, usb stick whatever you want to call it
and copy them to that first.
What I really recommend is an external Harddrive, that is what I use
(They are relatively inexpensive 500 GB and up)
THen when the upgrade is done you have thme and can put them where you want.
I use three Cloud services.
One Drive
Drop Box and
Google Drive.
I like One Drive and Dropbox the best.
Because I have a subscription to MS Office I get 1 TB of One Drive storage.
But that is the best way to keep files that you want to use on more
than one computer, but it is also a nice way to transfer them as it
puts a physical copy ion the device (except mobile deivces)
