re: chicken/advice

Hi Michelle,
In the spring, our feed stores all carry chicks. They sell them in any amount. You could buy one or
two with no problem. We usually order all our chicks this way, ( we usually order 25 or more) and the
feed store usually waits a day or two to call us that our order is in. Having them take care of the new chicks
with much better brooding facilities than what we have is a plue too.
The store has a list of who wants to split an order or who whats just a few of a certain kind and when they
get the minimum 25 signed up for they place the order. Its the same with all our feed stores.
We can get one or two turkeys this way also.
Another thing is that at easter time, they all carry those nasty colored chicks, the orange, red, blue,
and so forth. Most of those are leghorns, and can be bought individually and raised to be layers or
food. The dye comes off as soon as their feathers come out.
