Heritage of Lancaster County series -- The Shunning, The Confession and ????
(Help ladies -- what is the 3rd book!) I enjoyed this series. It was very
informative to me. I knew little or nothing of the Amish life until reading
that series. I don't remember all the details, so if you decide to read it
with you children you might want to read it yourself first.I have also read the Postcard and the Crossroad -- like both of those. And I
have read The Redemption of Sarah Cain -- it was OK, but not as good as the
others. Not sure if that helps you!I do know that Lewis has written some books in the Amish setting for younger
readers -- like 10 - 14 I think. Christian Books Distributor has these. I
have not read them, but you might want to look at them for your children. We love to read together also. The kids and I have been reading Rascal by
Sterling North together this summer and as a family we just started A Light
In The Forest.By the way, my 13 yodd has ventured off into her first "adult" Christian
Fiction book -- she is reading Dee's The Negotiator and loving it!Barb C.
