always be playing at church where a DI is provided. I find
having my own, trustworthy, DI is useful alongside the
tonal dimension and I can use it at other places as well.The bottom line, though, is that you really need to try
one. I paid very little attention to discussion about the
SABDDI until I heard (and got to play with) Benjamin
Ellis's one at Deep to Deep back in March. I felt that it
would be a valuable addition to my equipment, whereas
other things I tried (like the GT-6 multiFX or whatever it
was) were fun but didn't grab my attention in the same
way.My suggestion would be to try what's available locally -
including, where possible, gear that other bassists are
using as opposed to what the shops are trying to sell.Wulf

You might be. One factor might be whether you will
