Re: Dragonraid wiki?

I'll leave it to Joe (or one of the others) to answer about the wikiworks--since I'm completely ignorant about all that business--and go straight for your side question. The novel's currently undergoing its final updates and revisions before being turned loose on an unsuspecting world, a process which has unfortunately been bogged down recently because of personal issues (the last remnants of what I once called "free time" have been allocated to getting my resume back together and starting a search for a new job). Your continued prayers for its forward progress are greatly appreciated.
I've been toying for a while with the idea of an "official" (to use your word) fiction writers guide for DR. Once we hit the streets with this book, the idea is to sell a publisher on the eventuality of a wide range of realm-based novels from many authors, so I'm hoping there are others out there who want to try their talent out on the DR paradigm. There's definitely a trick to it; novels that are mere rehashings of adventure supplements would be too dull to have any hope of succeeding. What we need are character-based, dramatically varied, scripturally-driven stories that emphasize prose over play while still keeping faithful to the game's original vision. At some point, I'd like to see an anthology of DR short stories come together; it might make a good foundation for those who are interested in trying their hand at something larger in scale someday.
If anyone is truly interested in moving ahead with something, feel free to contact me personally with the details. Anything fictional would wind up on my desk eventually anyway, so if you're itching to get started, why wait?

I was wondering if it were feasible for the DR community to use a
wikipedia-style setup to help catalogue and organize the information we
have on gameplay. backstory as well as new changes that are coming in

websites recently, so I don't know if it would just be redundant or if
we really do need another tool to help new players, AMs or in my case
specifically, writers who want to get the DR mythos as close to the
rules and precedences set in the game as possible.
As a side question, how's that first novelization of DR coming along?
I've had a slew of ideas of how things in-game may work in writing, but
if there's an "official" way things go on in I'd like to know so I can
write accordingly - one of the benefits of writing in a shared mythos,
after all.
