The original text says "20 maturity units". You may have seen "30"
bandied about as a new rule, and that is okay too. That will make the
players have to work a bit harder to grow their LightRaiders to a new
level.

Now, I have been thinking that it should be even more strenuous than that
- the number of Maturity Units needed to go up a level would be something
like (Next DL *10) +10 so that in order to gain a level from SS 1 a
LightRaider would need (2 * 10) + 10 or 30 mu. To rise from SS 2 to SS 3
would require (3 * 10) +10 or 40 mu, and so on. This equation partially
takes into account that the WordRunes recited give more SS mu bonus as
you go up in levels.

Currently, at SS 1, a LightRaider has to recite 20 DL 1 WordRunes to get
20 mu. At SS 5, only 4 WordRunes have to be recited to get 20 mu. This
equation would require 30 mu (30 WordRunes) and 70 mu (14 WordRunes),
respectively. Not a complete fix, but better than nothing.
