Re: Terry Schiavo

Posted by: pdk67 <pdk67@...>

That is my point exactly. The Bible speaks to the sanctity of all human life. God values all human life - even those who are born with physical and mental disabilities and those who have those disabilities due to accidents or physical injury.

We do not have the right or freedom to determine who should live and who should die. That is God's decision to make.

Terri was purposely murdered through the means of refusing the basics of food and water. Maybe Terri talked with her husband about living wills, maybe she didn't. But the truth of the matter is that she did not have one.

We are not given the right to determine who lives and who dies. We do live in a sinful and imperfect world that is infected by sin, disease and death. That is the curse of sin. This kind of thing is the consequence of living in a sinful, imperfect world.

Terri Schiavo has been executed, under the guise of law and 'mercy,' for being guilty of nothing more than the inability to speak for herself.

We not only kill the unborn for convience sake, we now become God and judge as to who is worthy to live and who is worthy to die. My only fear, and it is founded, is where will we go next with this attitude of determining who should live and die.
