re: hair falling out

Posted by: empalo <empalo@...>

Greetings in the Lord Marci,

There are a few things that can cause hair to fall out. Often times women especially can have
a thyroid problem and will notice
a that their hairline is changing around the temples.
This is only one symptom of course of a hypothryroid problem.
Also a change in hormone levels can cause the hair to fall out a bit more
than normal and then there are times when our hair just seems to be falling
out at a faster rate with no real reason to be found. When handfulls come out,
or the hair line changes, that is when you need to be concerned.
There are some great suppliments called Hair, Skin and Nails that my daughters have used.
Then in Maria Treben's books she recomends a wash ( strong decoction) made of walnut leaves
and massaged into the scalp is very helpful in hair loss.
Also a hair wash made of stinging nettle, made with a tea of the leaves and a decoction
of stinging nettle roots.
Maria Treben herself used a tinture of nettle daily on her own scalp to promote healthy hair and scalp.

Here is her recipe for a tinture of nettle:
The roots, dug up in spring or autumn, are cleaned with a brush, chopped and placed in a bottle
up to the neck. 38% - 40% rye whisky or vodka is poured over it and the bottle is left to stand in
a warm place for 14 days.

Hope this gives you some ideas.

seeking Him,
Pat
