May I suggest that you pass out pre-generated characters and get into
playing right away? The tedious nature of generating a character may
lose a couple of the kids right off the bat.
You could use one of the free adventures posted on the web or alter the
Castle of the Falls in the AMM for a larger group. After playing that as
an introduction, you can backup and generate characters for the kids who
want them.
Oh, if you have 12 kids, you will have to break them into at least two
groups - you need another AM 😉
