I wanted to wait a little while to give others time to comment, but…
I like the series so far. The production values are good – the clothing looks real (torn, dirty, etc.), and the towns look like they could have been real – though I think that they used the same set one over and over. Good acting too.
But, there have been so many inaccuracies that it is almost troubling. Okay, allow some for artistic license, but this has been a bit too much for me.
The ark was leaking?
The angels in Sodom bleeding from a beating?
Sarah climbed the mountain to stop Abraham from sacrificing Issac?
The Hebrews were sliding in the mud while going through the Red Sea?
No pillar of cloud or fire to help the Hebrews escape?
And so on.
Again, I really like the fact that they did this series. Several of my relatives are watching, and they wouldn't know anything about the inaccuracies.

I've watched both weeks. I've been fairly impressed so far. Obviously some things had to be edited and streamlined to fit the format that they are presenting in. But they've done a marvelous job of communicating 1). reliance on God, and 2). that God is the hero of the story. Those, to me, are the crucial points of the Old Testament; reader, meet God.
I was not okay with Moses' interaction with God at the bush. The two spies in Jericho probably didn't end up fighting. But it served the purpose of them needing a place to hide.
Other than those two (fairly small) things, I've been very impressed. I intend to purchase it when it becomes available.
