Pat..your day sounds healthy and full. Lord blesses in many ways...We live on the way north coast of Northern California. Spring and fall are
our most special times of year here. It is sunny and warm..low 70's. The
wind blows a gentle breeze through the majestic Redwoods and abundant
flowers. Clouds sail across the sky and leave the most beautiful blue sky
in its trail. Late afternoons are just lovely when the silky fog rolls in
off the bay. The fog seems to have a life of its own as it travels quickly
through the canyon. The mist keeps the grasses green. If the Lord sees fit
to give us a few more warm days we might even get some corn from stalks
planted late by folks new to this area. We are learning how to live at
this beautiful coastal area. It is different from anything we have known
before. We do have our winter garden in. Broccoli, kale, chard, lettuce and
all manner of greens are reaching toward Gods sky. God has brought us to a
most wonderful chruch filled with sweet, loving people. Folks that stick
with us through thick and thin. We are blessed in so many ways. We are
getting ready to install our big black wood cookstove and have logs ready to
buck and split for winter warming and cooking. Praise the Lord... I am
learning how to knit. I long to knit soft wool/wool blend socks for my
family. Tomorrow I will be canning homemade chili and black beans. I just
love to can our garden bounty. I am doing Weight Watchers and have lost 29
pounds now. God is the provider of this plan that is a way of eating for
life. Through it all we live in God's country and may we count our
blessings each day. We love this pacific coast!! Thank you Lord for
bringing us here.Peace in Christ...
