Pat,Your honesty on this topic struck a cord in my heart.
I had three children in my first marriage. The three were all born by
the time I was 19.I remarried 5 years ago. We are both 51. My husband never had
any children....and I think it is because God knew he had no patience for
them. My own grandkids stay out of his way when they are here.I find myself longing for a full house again. I try to think that
that is a silly idea at my age, but it is still a longing. I haven't
prayed about it because I am so confused.....not sure if this is a mid-life
crisis or a genuine God-given longing. Maybe I just hate
quietness???There is something wonderful about a home filled with happy noises.

Marci,
there are so many infants available in our county for adoption
through the foster care system. A friend of mine seems to
have so many offered to her during a years time, but their
quiver is filling up fast so they are being a bit picky now and
are looking just for another little girl and there seems to be more
baby boys available here in our area.
We sometimes consider looking into this, but we are getting old and
not so sure we have the energy to chase a little one
around. I am 47 and my husband is 55.
Perhaps now we just get to wait for grandbabies : )
My desire for more children is endless, and my heart so
grieves everytime I hear someone say they are so unhappy they
are with child. I hear them sometimes in the store when I
amin line, and I just want to say, "then let me have it !"
Lovingly,
Pat
