HERE GOES!!!!!!
EASY PICKLES
Wash Cucumbers. Do not cut.
Put in a Gallon Jar
Put 3 tablespoons each of the following on top of the cucumbers and
fill jar with vinegar. ( I use the white vinegar)
Salt
Alum
Pickling SpiceDate and set back on shelf for 3 months. After 3 months, pour off vinegar,
rinse cucumbers and dry with a paper towel. Slice long ways or round and
put back in jar and put 7 cups sugar (or Less) on top of pickles. When sugar
melts they are ready to eat. I usually shake them a time or two to make
sure the sugar is well mixed over the pickles. You can eat them the next
day, but the longer they set in the sugar the better they are. You keep them
in the frig now.
A little green food coloring makes them pretty for Christmas.
Enjoy. Clara...in Tn.
