Re: critters

Heather,
So sorry about your losses. We too have lost some of our most precious
animals (including a 16 year old cat that we had who was blind, and deaf who
had never been out of the house before, he got out and the neighbor shot him
within an hour!). I know how heartbreaking it can be and frustrating when
you lose one good friend right after another. It really makes you start
wondering "what's next".
Yes, we have lots of animals that we keep as pets strictly..2 llamas, 13
goats, 5 sheep, 2 guineas (soon to be more...hopefully they are going to
actually sit on those eggs!!), 3 dogs, 3 cats and many parrots, also I am
going to Wisconsin today or tomorrow to pick up my chickens who will be
pets/egg layers (whichever they want to be I guess:)
But once again, I send my condolences and prayers out to you this
morning, it really is hard losing a friend. Take care, Julie

Any of you have animal/pets that you keep and not to eat?
We have chickens and ducks. The chickens have held their own for a
while now, but I went out to find tuffs of feathers agian this morning
from our all white mama duck.
I am so tired of the loss of animals this year. Not only two ducks that
we have lost in the past month, but also two dogs ( one of cancer, and
my moppy little one wandered off in the snow in January, never to be
found) and my oldest cat (18) this year. We have two more dogs that
are 15. I don't need to say more about that either.
Sorry for a gloomy outlook from me this morning and thanks for letting
me bum on you all.
