Hi ladies! My name is MaryLynn and I found out about this group from Jodi!
I'm looking forward to lots of good homesteading advice. I'm the mother of 6
blessings and live on a 13 acre "farmette" in beautiful central PA. In the
past I've had goats, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats. Now we're down to a few
chickens, a dog and a cat. Which brings me to my first question -- how do
you keep goats in a pen?? They are notoriously escapist!! My dh and I spent
many hours and many hundreds of dollars to build a fence (even tried electric
but couldn't get it to work very well) and would still find goats on our
front porch every morning! They'd walk right in the house when they got the
chance! They thought they were dogs! LOL Anyway -- with all the trouble and
expense my dh said enough is enough and so we sold them. However, I love
goats!! They are my favorite farm animal and I miss them. Any advice??
