I forgot to add, we had to sand the plywood to get the dirt off before we
could lay the tile. You will have to lightly sand painted floors too before
you lay tile in the future. I also knew of several Amish families that
polyurethaned their plywood and chip board floors. They put multiple coats
or gym coat on the bare wood. It looks lovely. I think this is nice if you
are doing new plywood and it's fresh and new. If you are doing what Heather
is doing I'd paint....Deanna
