Re: Fredricksberg Rugs

Pat you are most welcome. Would you mind doing me a favor when you go?
Will you look at the rug frames. I've been using a hoop quilting frame and
it's just too hard for me to work with. I need something smaller. Kind of
irritates me. I bought this brand new awhile ago and never got around to
using it. Now that I take it out of the box I can't even remember where I
bought it. TN probably. It's nice and works but I think the smaller hoops
on the web site might work better. What I'd like you to look for is the
difference between their hoops and the same sized type hoop you'd find at
Wal-mart. I'm going to finish this project with my quilting hoop but if I
really getting into do this I'd like something better to hold it. In one of
my rug books they suggest tacking the rug to a wooden frame so it stays
taunt. That would be fine for something small but something bigger would be
rather huge.

When you go don't buy a kit. There really isn't much to the kit. Just buy
the cloth and hook with instructions. I know you are crafty, design your
own. You'll save a bundle...must admit though one of the kits really caught
my eye. I'd like to do that floral basket or the one with the birds. I
wish I was better at drawing....ugh....Deanna
