With your children getting older, you are having lots more things to keep you busy. How did the play go?Only by His merciful grace,

I thought if I tried hard enough, I could stretch out summer and enjoy it with a relaxed routine and lazy days. Yeah, right!Makenzie has been busy all week rehearsing and preparing a costume for a play she is doing tomorrow evening. It has involved numerous trips and lots of hours. I have been gone nearly every day again this week which is evident by my messy house.Today, I have worked most of the day cleaning and trying to get things back in order. Mark has worked on the boat shed, and the boys have mowed and done the weed eater. I also did another posting of books for sale. I'm about ready to donate this batch as I have priced them cheaply, but found no buyers. Tomorrow, dh and I have to leave at 6:30 a.m. to drive to the co-op's annual meeting. He has to work so I volunteered to help. We have errands to do after that, then will come home, take a little break, and leave again for the play.Monday, we'll be starting another week of school. I don't have anything scheduled away from home so I should be able to get quite a bit done helping the girls with GED prep. I will also be finishing books with the boys so I can order new ones.Brandon served his jail time, a few days less than the ten days to which he was sentenced. He was supposed to be attending Celebrate Recovery last night and checking on getting a job. Right now, he has a room or a couch at a friend's house. I hope he will actually stay off drugs and drinking this time around, but I'm afraid he'll resume his habit as soon as he has money again. I doubt he's completely sober right now anyway as he seems to manage getting booze at least whether he works or not. We've had lots of rain lately so our land is really green. Such a nice change after looking at brown for months. It's been cool much of the time as well....around 65 yesterday.I better get back to work and finish my housework!Lisa NM--Shortcuts:
