Subject: [HomeSteadHeaven] Jan update

 

A hospital bed is being delivered for Jan tomorrow. During the day, she will be in it so it's easier for us to take care of her. At night, she will still sleep in her bed with her dh. She is using the potty chair now...too painful to sit on regular toilet. Her sister mentioned helpers being able to change diapers so those may be coming soon.

 

Thankfully, her husband and oldest son are now on same page as the rest of us as far as accepting what is happening. Her oldest son had to work through anger, but is now okay with hospice which is an answer to prayer. He is also on top of pain management and realizes how important it is now that he understands what is truly going on with the cancer. Her dh gave his blessing for her to go to Jesus. I think he kept insisting that they stand against the cancer. None of us are giving up....we're hoping and praying for a miracle...but she doesn't need to be pressured to endure beyond what she can bear.
