Re: Lori - winter Dressing

Posted by: amazinggraze <amazinggraze@...>

I made bloomers from a pants pattern. It was a simple elastic waist pants
pattern. I just used thin cotton, cut them off shorter and added some
elastic (and pink ribbons....don't tell). Anyway, they were very simple. I
wear leggings a lot in the winter too. A couple of my pairs look like
stretch jeans. If my socks go over them great, but if not, I just let them
show beneath my dress. I also like long underwear. Then I can pull knee
socks up over them.

Subject: [HomeSteadHeaven] Lori - winter Dressing

Lori,
I just received a "Just My size" catalog and they have some nice
jumpers, dresses, skirts etc. i myself am in Womens sizes and have trouble
finding modest clothes I feel "comfortable" in. I dont do jumpers either
though I wish I could, I have three long Skirts I bought from the JCPenney
catalog - the front slit was wayyyyy above the modesty border for me do I
stiched it up - I usually wear a Nice blouse or sweater (Or Flannel
Shirt!!!) or something like that with it - this is how I feel comfortable
dressing. I am gonna get some thick Leggings for the winter to wear
underneath. I have been wearing stocking this summer and I really detest
them!!!! 🙂 But, I detest my legs to show as well, so whats a girl to do? I
would like a pattern or the knowledge to make bloomers for myself - yes I
said bloomers!! 🙂 Then Maybe I could just wear KneeSocks - anyone have any
ideas? Oh, and one question! Where can I buy myself some Black Boots like
the Amish girls wear , the ones that lace up and are a little above ankle
high - I would love to get a pair of these for myself and my daughter.
Thanks! Angie
