Thanks for the update Robin.......I've been wondering......glad to know that you are safe.dana----- Original Message -----From: <a title=The5Kims@aol.com href="mailto:The5Kims@aol.com">The5Kims@aol.comTo: <a title=homesteadheaven@weloveGod.org href="mailto:homesteadheaven@weloveGod.org">homesteadheaven@weloveGod.orgSent: Monday, October 27, 2003 9:23 PMSubject: [HomeSteadHeaven] fires in CAHi Ladies ~ It has been wonderful reading about the snow. Sounds absolutely delightful, especially since we are experiencing tragic, horrendous fires here in Southern CA. I am close enough to the ocean that no fires threaten us, but we are blanketed with ashes everywhere. We cannot go outside and breathe with our mouth's open because ash will get in.Of course I am not complaining. Our home is safe and not jeopardized by the fires. But I have lots of acquaintances and one great friend who are. Our friends live in Lake Arrowhead, a community in the mts. They have been mandatory evacuated because there is only one real road out of there. That is about 40,000 people evacuated from just that area. Their house is still fine, but the fire is on its way there. There seems to be nothing that can stop it.Well, I don't want to be too depressing. I don't mean to do that. There are so many in CA that need your prayers, though. All kinds of prayers.People who have lost everything.People who have lost their neighborhoods.Children who are terrified.People who are watching and waiting with their cars packed.People who have no place to go.People whose lives are so disrupted that they are confused.People who are waiting to see if there will be hope.Firefighters and police officers who are battling the blazes and helping the people evacuate. And more. As you can see, in Southern CA, all of us seem to be affected by this fire. Even us who aren't going to loose anything.blessings ~RobinSorry this is so serious. I just know that all of you know how to pray. I really wish that I could take my family some place where it is snowing. It seems so peaceful and clean right now.
