Wow Nancy....that's a lot of work dealing with restoring/remodeling homes and THEN dealing with renting them. I couldn't be a landlord....I would go crazy 🙂 I agree with you that the furniture should just be sold, not stored. If put in storage, what good does it do anyone? I don't envy you facing so much stuff to sort, fix, sell, etc. Dh and I are tired of dealing with our stuff and trying to rid ourselves of things we don't need. I don't know that we'd have the energy to deal with someone else's stuff. The never-ending stress may very well be affecting your health. Stress causes cortisol to be released which then wipes out your adrenals. That can contribute to sleeping difficulties or be made worse by sleep deprivation.I don't think you're complaining....you're just describing a hard situation. I hope you can find a way to extract yourself from that mess. Your health and life are more important than houses or stuff. Big hugs to you! Sometimes that helps. We have been in the monotony/overworked cycle, too. We have spent the last 8 1/2 years restoring my mil's rentals to be able to rent them. Nearly every weekend, day off, holiday, and vacation. Get one done, rented, then someone moves out, and the cycle begins again. We are just now starting on their house, and it hasn't been emptied out yet in almost nine years. Dh talked to my brother in law last night, he doesn't want to start because he has no place to store the furniture. Our thought is if no one has wanted the furniture in nine years, why would you store it, why not sell it? Sorry, that's complaining, and I shouldn't do that, only trying to explain the difficulty I am up against. There's three more houses, not to mention a bunch of farm equipment to restore and get rid of. I think the never ending stress is seriously effecting my health. I can understand the fatigue and lack of motivation.Nancy in OK--Shortcuts:
