Re: rug hooking

Posted by: stampinbookworm <stampinbookworm@...>

Deanna,
Would you be willing to post the directions? This is something I have always wanted to try and never did. I think this would be a wonderful project for a rug for our living room floor this winter. Any ideas on where to pick up the wool strips?

Subject: [HomeSteadHeaven] rug hooking

Just in case someone has thought of doing the old fashioned rug hooking with long strips of thin wool fabric and haven't gotten around to trying it, I would like to encourage you. I decided to hook a chair pad for an old rocker. I am really enjoying this craft. It took me a bit to get the hang of it but now it's going a bit more quickly. I had picked up a kit at a garage sale. It was a pillow kit but was way too cutesy for me so I redrew the designs and it is working out fine....Deanna
