Re: Science workbooks wanted.

Posted by: stampinbookworm <stampinbookworm@...>

Naomi is flunking science at school. Its because they are doing a lot of reading from the science book and then expecting them to memorize the long science words and then draw from memory. UGH! Her science teacher...apart from her regular homeroom teacher....has said she has room for improvement. She prefers hands on science such as baking bread! LOL and some of the stuff we did last year. I didn't overemphasize it last year because she wasn't too interested although we do have a 5th grade science book we picked up at barnes and nobles. Why don't you check with them? They have a huge selection of homeschooling stuff there.

Subject: [HomeSteadHeaven] Science workbooks wanted.

I've decided that we need some science workbooks to fill in some gaps for Sam, 5th grade. We've used Alpha Omega and he likes them, so I think that I would like to buy 2 or 3 to use on those weeks when I'm too tied up to put what I need to put into more one-on-one instruction.

So, if anybody has soem 5th or 6th grade workbooks that they haven't used, I'd love to buy them from you!
