How can we spot a false teacher? Peter in the first two chapters of his second epistle provides a good comparison between true believers (chapter 1) and false teachers (chapter 2). We live in the light of God’s Word (1:19). They “secretly introduce destructive heresies” (2:1). We grow in the knowledge of our “Lord Jesus Christ” (1:16). They “deny the Master who bought them” (2:1). We are “partakers of the divine nature” (1:4), manifesting mortal excellence, self-control, perseverance and love (1:5-7). They manifest the deeds of sensuality and greed (2:2-3). We follow the prophetic Word (1:19-21). They follow “false words” (2:3). We are promised eternal life abundantly supplied to us (1:11). They are promised judgment and swift destruction (2:2-3).

I understand about the waiting. Every time I went to Jan's, I prepared myself for the call telling me she was gone. Then, when it didn't come, I would get ready to go again. My time with her didn't involve strenuous physical activity, but I would come home so tired, I could hardly crawl into bed. Monday night, I was too tired to eat when I came home. Being with her was like being on another planet as nothing going on in our world mattered much. When I left her house, I would have to re-focus myself so I could somewhat function in my own home. Jan told me September 15 that she was on end-of-life care. A month later she was gone. An amazing amount of stuff happened in that month...spiritually, physically, with her family, etc.
 
When you are waiting for someone to go to Heaven, it's like you are holding in your breath all the time without being aware of it. There is stress involved even if you feel peaceful...the stress of not knowing when it will happen or how. You may say goodbye several times like I did with Jan, but until that final goodbye, you keep holding your breath. The denial of some of Jan's family members made her situation even harder. Her daughter-in-law told me yesterday, as a family, they would take one step forward and then three steps backward as family members struggled to accept what was happening. For me, it was an honor and a joy to be a part of the last days of Jan's earthly life.

As far as I can tell, they are just in waiting mode.  They have not posted much about her.  They did have a several pictures of different ones holding her hand.  You can tell all the waiting is getting hard for them.  Their lives are on hold.
