shetlands are lovely heather, small, and easy keepers with  gorgeous wool, but i truly recommend a pair... you can find a couple of wethers usually for 50 or so bucks a piece...let me know where you are, and i'll try to find you a breeder close....  

 the goats tend to pick on the sheep, and while they can co exist, the likelihood of them finding a real buddy in a goat is low....  only by His grace - rachel in ohio (who prays for you all continually, but hardly ever has time to write anymore.... )

anyone have sheep for the use of spinning?  How much of a disaster would it be to get one and have it buddy up with the goats, chickens, horses?  I'm just playing with the idea.  I don't want anything fancy, just something to try out.
