I sure do. I refused to homeschool in Washington because the laws there are toooo stringent for my tastes. You do have to have testing, request each year to homeschool and submit a list of what you are teaching that year. Ugh! There is a lot of rain in the western part of the state...humidity is I guess pretty much like oregon's. I loved Idaho...the homeschool laws there are much like montana's only I think montana is a bit more easygoing. Here there is no testing required, you don't really need to submit a paper to the school district if you don't want to...and if you get it, just trash it. I did. Its much easier on eclectic and unschooling homeschoolers here too, than Washington. I love it here. Grew up in Tacoma though. Eastern especially around the spokane area is much like it is in Missoula, MT although maybe a bit colder.

Dh and I have talked often of Idaho and Washington state. Idaho has great
homeschooling laws and several other things we like, Washington has more
rain than we do (does it have humidity like other rainy areas?) and is close
to so many things we've never seen. Does anyone know anything about these
areas for homesteading and raising a family? Thanks so much, Lisa in New
