Jacqui,

I have a wood cookstove... A Pioneer Maid. It is in my living room as
there is no chimney (YET!) in the kitchen. It heats my whole house. In
fact it is the only heat source that we have. If you were worried about
power outages, this would provide a way to not only heat your house, but
allow you to cook and bake as well.
