The idea of election goes back to Abraham (Gen. 12:1-3). God chose to make a nation of that patriarch’s descendants. He chose Israel to be his people. He worked his purposes out through that one nation and in due course sent his Messiah as a Jew. After that, God continued to choose, or elect, people in accordance with his purpose (Rom. 9:11), grace (Rom. 11:5), love (1 Thes. 1:4), and foreknowledge (1 Pet. 1:2). The “elect” can rely on God’s concern for them (Luke 18:7) and on their sure salvation (Rom. 8:33). They are to live lives befitting their status (Col. 3:12-14). Mystery is inherent in the concept of election, because we also know that God desires the salvation of all persons (1 Tim. 2:4).

Sounds great! I take it you are its creator? If so, I always found it a prime example of what can be done with a setting by "daring" to step beyond its published version and make the setting your own.

Aaron, the "celtic" islands are still around.  Unfortunately they have been sidelined for a while due to several issues.  But Faerenoth is alive and well.  And teeming with many interesting creatures and races...

There was a site kicking around with a celtic-style land in DragonRaid. And
that was supposed to be a smaller continent. Also, islands can be pretty
darned huge, especially when there are close archapelagoes (partially sunken
lcontinents maybe).

Greetiings.
 Aaron, you mentioned that because Talania is the
largest continent, there cannnot be other 'proper'
continents.  Well, as one might notice from the
perspective of and Earth map, 'continent' is rather
arbitrary.  Notice how there is no seperation between
Europe and Asia, and only Australia and Antarctica are
the only truly 'free' continents.
 This leaves open the posibility of other lands
slightly smaller than Talania, but with land
connections.  There are many other possibilities as
well, so many that I get excited just thinking about
it.
