You should really live here in Asheville where vegans abound! I was a lacto ovo vegan for about 3 years and could not eat meat when I was pregnant ( it made me ill). Even though I hate nuts and dairy I was so anemic and hated taking prescription iron every day so I started eating meat again.
I do not eat meat every day and never in large amounts but need the protein. I refuse to eat organ meat... {shiver}! My problem is I love starches- breads, pasta, rice, grits!
Biblically speaking animals were put here for our use ~ clothing, food, shelter, help, transportation, companionship. God's creation is amazing! How wonderful God gave us this gift.
My one weakness in meat is pork~ I love it and hate it! 😉 I try to only eat it a few times a year but bacon and pork chops are so guuuuud.
After being on diabetes meds. for years I finally talked into going vegan for a summer. He has been off all meds for a year now and controls it with diet. He did need to add meat as he is a muscular man. I like big guys 🙂
I am glad you are eating how you feel the Lord has called you to eat! We are all at different places in our spiritual walk. You obviously have a great compassion for animals! Use it sisters!

When my granddaughter was little she was so excited to come up to our place at different times of the year. She loved the winter snow, the summer camping, and she told her school teacher that her Grandpa had apples that grew on trees!

Oh Marci, this is so true. People think food is made in a factory. I think many children would not even know where grape juice comes from ~ beginning to end...or a hamburger, butter, cheese, flour.
