No, he didn’t normally wander-- he was old, and he was always there early in the morning for breakfast and last thing at night for food. We fed him frequent small meals because he never ate much at once. The last time I fed him he almost went to sleep over his bowl. He was affectionate and liked to greet our guests, but he was getting arthritic, so it was time for him to go. I’m okay with that.
That is a good old age for your kitty, Suzi. I don’t have a replacement for my cat yet. If I get a replacement next spring, I will look for a calico kitten. I had a pretty calico kitten when I was about 11 years old.

Had it never been gone 2 days in a row before? Ours will disappear for a couple of days often. The male cat disappears for longer periods of time.
