When my scalp gets itchy, I use pine tar soap. I used to buy grampas pine tar, but got brave and made a batch myself a couple years back. I bought a small can of pine tar that is used for horses hooves. Worked great.
For your face, try a little bag balm. When I put it on my hands and feet I use what it left on my hands on my face, that way its not too much, just a light film.
