Marci, Wonderful words !

We do not allow our children to get a license before 18 and then it is
conditional and not just "well you are 18 now so lets drive". It is
only allowed when they show they are mature enough to understand
what it is all about and never, ever are they just free to go on their own.
They must ask. My oldest is 21 and in college and still she drives
very little. She has a car, but takes the bus most days. My 18 year
old second daughter has no desire yet to drive since we go everywhere
together.
I was 21 when allowed to get a license and so were my sisters.
My husband on the other hand was driving the farm truck at 12.
But never for pleasure.
