Re: Becoming a pastor

Posted by: admin <admin@...>

Greetings Brother,

In answer to your questions, I don't know.

I do know that I was lead to start taking Bible College classes.  From there, to enroll in International Seminary for Master of Ministry, Christian Counseling.  Was there a light at the end of the tunnel?  A special earth shaking revelation?  A job?  No.  I'll be finished this month, and will be ordained.  Being ordained was not an easy decision because I take this very seriously.   This is the first undetaking in my life where there was no goal.  Simply, I was lead to take classes.

This past week I was told I will become a part of our church's pastoral counseling staff and conduct church services at a addiction treatment center.  This was the first time a job has been mentioned since starting school.  I was told by Him to take classes, I did.  I still have no real idea of my worldly future.  That too will come.  This whole scenerio is not something my old self would have ever done.

I guess it boils down to listening and obey.  I don't have anyother answer.
