Re: cohabitiation

Dear Brother Bill: You mentioned that people need time in making the decision to cease in cohabitation and be married. Extending time to remain living in sin is fatal. WE as pastors need to attempt to make everyone we meet to become as much like Jesus Christ in as short of time as possible. WE want to be, and we wan them to be ready as His bride, spotless and without wrinkle when He comes and we must look at each day as the day of His coming!

I had a lady at one of our services in Naperville come up after the service and she told me that her son and a girl were living together and they had just given birth to a baby She asked me what I thought about the situation. I took a moment and I read to her what G-d thought about that situation. We read together Deuteronomy Chapter 23:2 where in the New King James version it reads: "One of illegitimate birth shall not enter the assembly of the LORD, even to the tenth generation none of the descendants shall enter the assembly of the LORD."

When it comes to human sexuality, it is important to remember that G-d is the one who created the full range of human sexual experience The physical sexual attraction between men and women is also G-d's design However, as the creator and designer of sex, He planned foe cohabitation and sexual activity to be expressed within the context of a faithful, heterosexual marriage. G-d knew the danger of illicit and casual sex.

In our day of the AIDS crisis, abortions, and the widespread heartache and pain that results of promiscuous sexual activity, it is easy to see why G-d designed sex and living together to be expressed exclusively in the holy marriage relationship.

It wasn't a suggestion, it was a commandment. Going against the Word of G-d always bears bad fruit. Like the cursing of a child born out of wedlock, Old King James refers to one of these innocent children as a "bastard."

So there really isn't a "time of adjustment" period. Time is of the essence to address this problem. Why? Because He may come today!
