What we have here in Matthew 5:33-37 (cf. James 5:12) is the condemnation of the flippant, profane, uncalled for, and often hypocritical oath, used in order to make an impression or to spice daily conversation. Over against that evil Jesus commends simple truthfulness in thought, word and deed.

At Old Town Christian Outreach Center, Saginaw, MI  we don't have commitees or meetings.  One causes the other, or the other causes something to have a meeting about.


Anyway, I give you our church name and location in case anyone is coming our way this summer.  Saginaw  City hasn't much to offer, but in Saginaw County there is a town called, Frankenmuth.  It has a German architecture and is known world wide for it's festivals and Bronner's Christmas Store. Open 12 mos.  This town gets over 2 million visitors a year.  Not bad for a population of 10,000.


If anyone is coming our way.  Let me know.
