Dear Brother Wade,I apologize for not getting to this sooner. You may have already tried this, but you may want to point out to each party that: (1), their friction is hurting the advance of the gospel - if they believe in the mission and purpose of the church, then they must put aside their differences (or iron them out) if they want God to work in their midst, and (2), Scripture seems to indicate that forgiveness is not dependent on whether someone asks for it (between persons) - in other words, we are to forgive, even if the other person does not ask for it. Our example is Jesus, who forgave those who crucified Him, even though they did not ask.It may be that both parties are waiting for the other to ask for forgiveness, rather than extending it for the good of the kingdom.Hope this helps. Please keep me posted, so I can pray.Brian La Croix

Hello Dear Fellow Pastors,
I dearly need some advise on a common issues in the church. I have several in the church where I Pastor that do not get along. But, they do not show their disagreements outwardly. In fact, they will speak and be fairly friendly. But, they are clearly at odds with each other. These have their own little groups as you all know. Now, I know what the Bible says about getting the Brothers together but the problem is, I just cannot get any of them to make the first move. I think they see the problem and maybe in some small way they want to reconcile but pride will not let them make the first move. This is really not helping our church here for it seems every time we try and make a move on something, either one or the other factions will either vote against it or do their best to stop it because of who they are and how they feel about the others. I have went to both and all parties about this and have asked them, no I have Prayed that they would come together on this matter which seems to have been going on for over twenty years now. We have the best area in the world to build a great work for the Kingdom of God but this is really hurting. I have always been able to get results by just going to the parties in question and getting them together but this one has just about put me between a rock and a hard place. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO NEXT. HELP PLEASE!!!
