Way back in February as asked for prayer for my friends Mike and Debbie (she had terminal cancer).

It is with very mixed emotions that I update you all. Debbie lost her earthly battle with cancer on Tuesday. While she is now in the presence of our Lord...those left behind have a hole in their lives.

Please continue to pray for Mike. While I know that her no longer being in pain is a relief for him, he is now alone. This will not be an easy transition for him, as he has been not only her husband, but her caretaker for many years now.

Friends of ours Mike and Debbie need prayers. I have served on various worship teams with Mike since 1994, I think. I sang in their wedding...and truly love these guys.

Debbie was struck with an aggressive breast cancer over 7 years ago. Somehow...they beat that into remission, but the road since then has been cancer, after cancer. Diagnosis after diagnosis, chemo after chemo. You get the picture.

Debbie is nearing the end of her fight. She is now in hospice. Her digestive system has shut down. She is a Christ follower, so her eternal home is not in question. But these next few weeks will not be an easy road (as if the last 7 years have been) to get there. For her, or for Mike.

Pray for Debbie. For comfort. For peace. What else can I ask there?

For Mike..he's going to need prayer for a long time. He has been an amazing husband through all of this. His love, dedication, support of Debbie has been nothing short of inspirational. For Mike, peace and comfort. But also strength as he will have to transition to a new life without his beautiful bride.
