re: question for Pat L.

My family attended this mennonite church for several years, matter of fact it was from our
interest that the church came to this area. Due to the fact that my husband was briefly
married at a young age and his wife commited adultery and divorced him, we are not allowed
to be members of this church. So after several years we decided not to attend and to let
whichever of our children who wished to continue to do so. Our boys did.
We are still in close contact with many of the members. My youngest son spent the summer
working for the minister in his small engine repair shop.
I love the church. Love the fellowship and community. The simple lifestyle that is not compromised
by the world. We contacted Rod and Staff to find the closest church and it was 75 miles away.
We went and loved it. But it was so far to drive. Not long after that we had Mennonite visitors
that were willing to relocate here and start a church. For many months we had meetings on
Friday night in our home. Often with over 60 people coming.
We had read so many Rod and Staff story books and found them delightful and portrayed the
life we were seeking.
I cannot say I agree with all their doctrins, but then I seem to have a hard time with many churches
in that area. Too much jewishness left in me I guess.
Contact Rod and Staff and they will tell you where the closest conservative mennonite church is.
Here is their number. 606 522-4348

Lovingly in Christ,
Pat
