Hey, I just wanted to let everybody know ...

In 35 hours, I'm getting married!

Holy c... (not spelling it out)

I turn 50 in May, and I'm getting married for the first time on Saturday, March 19!

Just want to ask y'all to pray for me, and pray for my wife.

My wife-to-be has been married twice before, but her previous husbands were abusive ... jerks.

Let me tell you how we met.

My apartment, where I have lived for 4 years, is old. Like, pre-WW2 construction. My kitchen has a genuine icebox.

On Christmas Eve, 2015, I noticed a "patch" in the wall. A small, square patch, about 8 inches on a side. Despite having lived here for almost 4 years at the time, I had never noticed that patch. But I noticed it that night.

Curious, I knocked on that square.

I knocked, and ... somebody knocked back.

The other "knocker" was the woman in the next apartment.

I knocked, and she knocked back. And, through the wall, I heard her say, "Come over here!"

So I went over there.

We spent Christmas Eve together, and then we spent Christmas Day together. And we have been together ever since!

I have never fathered a child, but, I'm about to become a "stepfather". Michaelle has two adult children who are about to turn 30 and 29. And I'm also going to become an instant grandfather, because Michaelle's son has two kids.

And I told my mom, "you're gonna be an instant great-grandmother", so stop nagging me for grandchildren! 😛

Anyway, I'd appreciate everybody's prayers for a successful marriage 🙂
