In fact, I've entirely lost touch with Gary some years ago- would love to get back in touch with him, but he was something of a luddite and really wanted to be off the grid.I'll send you a pic, Dennis- just took one a few minutes ago.On Wed, Nov 4, 2015 at 2:40 PM, Dennis Weatherly <jdwxly1@gmail.com> wrote:On Wed, Nov 4, 2015 at 1:49 PM, Douglas Anderson <rxdca@usa.net> wrote:I'm 99% sure that Marc Miller did the web page work for Gary. He may still have the files around, which included several gallery pictures but may not have the last several that were made. Gary's basses transitioned to a different logo and body shape just before he stopped production. I think the one I have (#43) was the only one built with the new logo and the old body shape. I'm pretty sure #46 was the last one built.Does anyone have a collection of pics of Watts basses? I'd like to show them to a friend who is going to start building.
You may also find a few pictures popping up around the internet, although any kind of Google search usually turns up lots of bass amps 🙂 I only found one picture of Watts basses this way.I would be happy to host a catalog of Gary's basses on my SmugMug account if folks want to send me pictures. Be sure to tell me what you know about the instrument: serial number, woods, electronics. It might be fun to know the ownership as well. Many of these have changed hands but, as far as I know, very few have landed outside the Christian community.--
