Oh, I forgot that along with rattlesnakes, we have an abundance of black
widow and brown recluse spiders! In fact, a man that worked with my hubby
was bitten by a brown recluse and never did get well again. Developed all
kinds of problems and finally died. Brown recluse bites cause extensive
tissue damage which can only be fixed by cutting away the damaged tissue.
The bite usually doesn't hurt either, so you may not know you've been
bitten. Also, in a town 20 miles from us, they have discovered killer bees
so guess they're moving in and the mosquitoes 75 miles from us recently
tested positive for encephalitis! And, I also can't forget the mice infected
with Hantavirus. One lady in our town actually developed it. Hantavirus
comes from the urine and droppings of infected mice...you breathe it in and
you're infected. Several people have died from it too!
Does this sound like paradise yet??Just call me Marlon Perkins of the reptile and insect world! Lisa
