Greetings

A while ago I helped someone upgrade their modem and someone
on the list gave me a way of querying the state of the com ports,
either under dos or in the bios. I can't remember what it was, but if
that kind person is still on this list, could they repost the
information.

In this case the modem drivers load but the modem doesn't work
and similarly last time. What fixed it was recongfiguring the com
ports from the bios.
