Hello ...
In my email yesterday in which I referred to the "resigning"
deacons ... who were frustrated over various things ... and I mentioned
should we not go to them and try and restore them. When I speak of "restore" ... I am NOT (emphasis only
... not shouting) meaning we should place them back in the position of
deacon. They chose to give that up and I would be very hesitant to
put a man who "quits" as a deacon back into that position of service. However, I do mean that to "restore" them means that we
do all we can do to reconcile the situation and relationship on the terms
of Christ. To ignore the problem will only allow it to fester and
become a cancer. I know from experience!Anyway ... just wanted to explain my use of "restore."
