Hello,I have been too lazy lately to get this report to you quickly. About two
weeks ago I went to the National Youth Specialties Convention in
Pittsburgh. I spent a week of evenings before that getting things ready
to go to the convention, including putting together about 80 games.I had to take half a day off work in order to get to the convention
center and set up by six o'clock on Thursday since the exhibitors' hall
was going to open at 7. I took 82 games, several poster sets, extra
LightRaider HandBooks, lots of stuff. I left most of the games in the
car since I could duck out and grab more as needed.Well, there were lots of people there through the weekend, and lots of
things going on. I did not attend any of the general sessions or
workshops as I just did not feel well, not bad, just not in the mood to
do so. But, the people that I talked to did enjoy the general sessions
and such. The whole affair seemed to be run rather well. Look into it
if you get a chance to go - www.youthspecialties.com/NYWC.I talked to around 50 people over the weekend, and plenty of others just
stopped long enough to grab a flyer. Several people had played
DragonRaid as kids and are now working with their youth groups. Some
promised to order in the coming weeks. All told, I sold five games over
the whole weekend.I sat around a lot Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but I did a lot of Bible
reading, so it was not a total waste of time.Any questions?
