Revised web link for Making It Home Magazine

Posted by: homenews <homenews@...>

Dear Hope Chest friends,

I just sent out the wrong web link for Making It Home magazine.  It should be http://www.MakingItHomeMagazine.com

Many of you know that I am a contributing writer to Making It Home.  The publisher, Catherine Staat, is a friend who used to live near me, but now lives in Liberty, Kentucky.  I think she's published six issues so far.  I'm working on my article for the July/August issue right now.  And yes, I will eventually send out the resource reviews about raising daughters that I promised you all.  You can pray for me as I write!  I sure need it.

Blessings,
Virginia Knowles

Here's the official blurb for Making It Home:

~~~
Making It Home is a bi-monthly magazine which focuses on providing support, encouragement, and down-to-earth “how to” advice for women who have made the decision to make homemaking their career of choice.
Society has been telling women for years that having a career is the only path to fulfillment and happiness, and that being a wife, a mother, and a homemaker not only wasn’t “work”, but was demeaning and a waste of potential.  This philosophy has now been shaping our culture for decades, and we have to ask, “Is it working?”  Are our marriages stronger?  Are our children productive and civil?  Do women who have bought into this philosophy feel the fulfillment and happiness that they were promised?
The answer coming from many disillusioned women around the world is “No”, and there is a growing trend of women who are now walking away from the impossible “do it all, have it all” way of life that they’ve been told they must lead as they instead follow their hearts to live the life that they feel they should lead.  What many are discovering is that being a homemaker is not as easy as they thought, and since no one ever taught them how to do it, they are struggling both physically and emotionally.
Making It Home provides insight & wisdom to women who are living as homemakers for the first time and facing all of the challenges that it presents.  Our contributors are not professional writers, but real world Titus 2 women who have already experienced both the trials and rewards of re-dedicating themselves to one of the most overlooked but important occupations in our society.
