Dana's was 'snowy and delicate'... the one on the needles currently is two
yarns of cream with one yarn of grape shading lighter to a forest green
shading lighter and ending with a cream. Then back to the grape.

So you get all this cream with a 'v' in the colors scattered all around.
The right side is a stocking-knit stitch. That is the side that looks like
' V 's ( look at your socks) The 'wrong' side is called garter stitch. You
get a lot of color there but I do not care for garter stitch as much. If
you knit only garter you get the same on both sides. In other
words.....you just knit. No purl stitches.

Hope I didn't just insult any of you. You probably knit. I am used to
people who have no concept of that art.

Dana's yarn was soft pastels all in one yarn. Don't remember Marci's yarn.
Just remember her wonderful bag she sent to me. Dana sent an herbal pillow.
Big, like a magazine. It hangs on two hangers (it is weighty) as the cat is
just certain he wants it...so it hangs up and makes my husband's clothes
smell good. Then when I want to enjoy it I go take it down and brace myself
for the cat......

You know, this Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis has certainly been a wake-up
call. Amazing what you realize is no longer important....... Stuff like
"why have 20 'coffee' cups when you have one true favorite". Clear out the
rest! Knit. Read. Create yourself. And then give yourself to
others........as I already knew before.......
