"RIPE Unto HARVEST"

are coming into a 'HARVEST' season in the West - which is a
window that we CANNOT afford to miss. On this List you may
begin to notice more articles about aggressive evangelism, bringing
in the harvest, street armies, etc. This is because of the hour we
are in. As I said last week, we are currently re-orienting our whole
ministry because of this. Hopefully you will find the simple parable

"RIPE Unto HARVEST"

Last July, during our Camp Meeting week I drove by a grain field
while on my job as a bus driver. I was startled to see that this
field which I drove by nearly everyday was ripe and ready to be
harvested. I said to one of my passengers, "Look at that! It's ripe
already. When did that happen? It's too soon." No sooner had I
spoken those words, I heard the Holy Spirit tell me, "Ripe unto
harvest..."
The next day I drove by the field again and what I saw stunned me.
That beautiful, ripe field had been hit by wind and rain. The devastation
was everywhere, wheat laying flat on the ground, where the combine
would never be able to reach or gather it. Lost. And then, the Holy
Spirit spoke to me again, "I told you- ripe unto harvest." The finality
of that statement broke my heart and I understood that the fallen
wheat represents those in our "harvest fields", our unsaved friends,
family, co-workers, etc...
We each have a "field" that we are responsible for. If we do not
reach and "harvest" them, they will be lost, never to be gathered into
God's Kingdom. I believe that God will soon send His Son back for
His people. We do not have much time left to harvest the fields.
We must gather them in before it is too late.
