Personal benefits when conflict with others is handled properly: It has increased my tenderness to the pain and affliction of others. It has broadened my outlook that life is not as black and white as I often think. It has helped me to listen better and understand good perspectives that might differ from mine. It has encouraged me to search the Scriptures and be able to better articulate my beliefs. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone and increased my faith in God and in His Word. It has taught me to work harder to be a more effective communicator to express my feelings. It has helped me consider other people more important than myself. It has helped me understand that relationships are more important than the conflict and compromising (when biblically appropriate) is more important than being right. It has increased my love for unity. It has manifested the love and power and forgiveness of God both received and extended. It has taught me that my desires and plans do not lie at the center of the world. And in many cases, when resolved correctly, it has even strengthened the specific relationship.

Rosetta Stone or Auralog Tell Me More Spanish / Plus $5 Fridays at Cypress Gardens

This is just a quick question, so thanks for your patience.  My 17 year old daughter Rachel took Spanish I with a tutor at church and will be signing up for Basic Spanish at the community college in the spring since she couldn't get it this fall.  She needs the full two years to qualify for Florida's Bright Futures scholarship, so we need to do something this semester and we're getting a late start.  We would like to use either Rosetta Stone (level 1 or level 2) or Auralog Tell Me More, but don't want to pay full price for it.  Are any of you planning to sell yours for a reasonable amount?  Or, if you aren't planning to sell but aren't using it right now, can we borrow it?  If so, please let me know ASAP.  We need to get going with this!
 
As a side note, for those who live in the Central Florida area, the Cypress Gardens theme park in Winter Haven is offering $5 Fridays this week and next.  It isn't on their web site, but I called customer service and they confirmed it.  They said you can just show up and pay your 5 bucks and get in.  According to my friend Joy, they will also honor the "second day free" deal, too, or upgrade to a pass for the remainder of 2008 for an extra $10.  The regular daily admission is $39.95 for adults and $34.95 for children, so this is a real deal.   Their phone number, which wasn't very easy to find on the site, is 863-324-2111.
