Semantics

Sorry -
Semantics may be at the root of this "disagreement".
Your original post indicated that the issue was "creation as a foundation" which is what my remarks were based on, not creationism.  There can be no theology if there is no man to theologize.  There can be no re-creation of man if there is no creation in the first place.

The crux or heart or core or point of right theology is of course Christ, without whom (as part of the trinity) creation could not have happened.  But without creation there is no man, and no sin and no redemption.  So in that sense, creation (not creationism) is foundational, or first.  Where do we get the concept of "foundation"?  Its origin is literal as the first part of a building being laid.  But a literal foundation was always built upon something pre-existent, and taken for granted, that is the earth.  Obviously literal symbolism eventually breaks down when getting too far into a concept, but before we even begin building a foundation, Christ, aka Truth as the pre-existent rock of Mathew 7:25 is already there.

The first important question man asks is a question of identity "Where did I come from?"  When building on the Rock, creation is the foundational answer.  The next question of importance to man is "What is my purpose?".  Arguably you might ask the second question first, but since purpose ultimately relies on origin, you eventually have to finish that foundation to complete the answer to the second question.

It's Divine Revelation, namely Jesus, whom is the Truth personified, and thus His revelation about Himself in the Scriptures. It is not one particular view, no matter how correct, of theology. The second tier is the nature of God, the Tri-unity or trinity. Building on that is the nature and work of redemption. After that tier, you come to the various veiws on oragins and redemptive history, etc. AiG is just flat wrong, and must think people are idiots to blame all the ills in the world on a low view of oragins. Its Sin, my friend, that is the culpirate. Not demons, not evolution, not post-modern thought, not dope smoking socialist hippie occupiers; its sin
